You Can’t Out-Give God

God’s plan is to give us everything we need and desire…that fits HIS will, HIS purpose and HIS plan for our life. If you want your life to get better, you need to surrender your life to God. This includes surrendering your finances and relationships. In Proverbs 3:5-6, 9, the bible tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths…Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everthing your land produces”. In allowing God to take over lives, our finances and our relationships, we are trusting Him with all our heart. God tells us to honor Him with our wealth and the BEST part of what we produce. I would definitely define that in today’s world as paying tithes on my gross earnings, not my net pay, after taxes and deductions.

Look in 2 Corinthians 9 again and read verses 6-8: “Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each make up your own mind about how much you should give. Don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others”. Verse 11 says, “Yes, you will be enriched so that you can give even more generously. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will break out in thanksgiving to God”.

God’s promise to bless us is not just the blessings we receive while here on earth, but He promises in Matthew 19:29 and again in Luke 18:28-30,  that everyone that has given up everything to follow Him, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will have eternal life. Nothing is better than eternal life!

In Romans 8:32, the bible says, “Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?” God is ready to pour out His blessings on us when we surrender all to Him and honor him with giving. Are you ready to commit ALL to Him?
