God’s Financial Plan – Part 3

In God’s Financial Plan – Part 1 we learned God has a plan for our lives, including a financial plan for us to follow. We can learn how to manage money properly from the bible. As we learn what God wants us to do with the money He gives us, we will also learn about His promised blessings.

Part 2 of God’s Financial Plan  showed us how important it is in putting God first in our lives than material possessions. We also learned that everything on earth  comes from God and it is owned by God.

Since all of our money comes from God, He has the right to tell us what to do with the money. In Malachi 3:8-12, God says, “Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we cheat you?’ You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. You are under a curse, for your whole nation is cheating me. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do, says the Lord Almighty, I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let me prove it to you!” God wants us to trust Him and test Him to see what will happen.

When we give, we honor God. But God wants us to be a cheerful giver. In 2 Corinthians 9:7 the bible says, “You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully”. Giving should bring you joy.
